Stop Black Carbon
Disposal of Woody Debris by Fire (FireBox) with
perfect combustion efficiency releases no Black Carbon and virtually
only Biogenic CO2, making this process carbon neutral.

"Burning the tree trunks was seen as a
cost-effective alternative to the previous method of
grinding the dead trees into mulch and transporting
it to the Larimer County Landfill."
“This
is a more affordable solution as the problem grows
larger,” said Zurn at the April Town board meeting
when he made the request to purchase the burner.
“The process of grinding, hauling and disposing of
tree material after grinding will soon become cost
prohibitive. The staff feels that the air curtain
would pay for itself within the first two or three
years.”
